Horses
I have painted many many horse pictures. I will put some on here.
My very favourite breed of horse is the native Scottish pony breed, the Highland Pony. Here are two very similar pastel pictures I have done of a mare and foal from the Strathspey Highland Ponies Herd, now based in Cromdale. I originally took a photograph of them when they were based at Braes of Glenlivet, where my family comes from. The photograph was taken about 10 years ago I would say. It doesnt seem that long ago but it must have been !
I have also painted a watercolour of a Shetland Pony Stallion which I saw near Inverness. Shetlands are another of Scotland's native breeds of ponies.
